he is mighty

We Believe

God The Father

There is one eternal God and He exists in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is sovereign. He is Mighty. God is perfect in every respect and holds all righteousness and power. He created all things and sustains them. As the Creator, He is in no way limited by creation. God created humans in His image to share in His perfect community and to reflect His goodness throughout the world.

We Believe

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the son of God; He is the Word made flesh, born of a virgin. He is the second person in the Holy Trinity. Through Jesus, we have a relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. Christ suffered for the sins of all mankind, paying the penalty of our sins by dying on the cross. Jesus later rose from the dead, conquering sin and death forever, reclaiming his rightful position in heaven, at the right hand of the Father. If we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we will be presented blameless before God at the time of our physical death. One day He will come back to earth to claim His followers. Those who have accepted Christ and repented of their sins will spend eternity in heaven. Those who have not will spend eternity in separation – outside God’s grace, mercy, and love.

We Believe

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead, who is equal to the Father and the Son. After Jesus returned to heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to give us power and guidance, and to intercede on our behalf. We believe that each Christian should develop the fruit of the Spirit and seek to use the gifts of the Spirit for the benefit of others.

Scripture

Scripture is the very Word of God. It is divine revelation, inerrant, and as authoritative as God himself. All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. The scriptures point us to Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation. The Word of God teaches who God is, who we are, how we should live, and what happens when our physical life ends.

We Believe

Salvation

Salvation comes only by grace through faith. We repent, i.e., we admit and turn away from our sins, and we confess that Jesus is Lord and yield to Him being the ultimate authority over our lives. Salvation cannot be earned by doing good deeds. However, we do good deeds as a service to God out of our love for Him.

Baptism

Only believing individuals can participate in baptism. Baptism testifies to the believer’s separation from the world and their commitment to following and obeying Jesus Christ. If given the opportunity, all believers should be baptized by immersion.

We Believe

Church

Those who have acknowledged Jesus as their Lord and Savior are the church. Representatives of the church must spread the word of God throughout the world for the sake of His kingdom. This is the Great Commission. The lost are to be reached via evangelism, community outreach, and missions. We are to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ and live transformed lives, being doers of the Word and not simply hearers of the Word.
